Internships
Interns are always welcome!
At Breathe Freely, we believe in supporting and training the next generation of professionals in social work, mental health, substance use, and counseling. Our agency is committed to providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for success after school and in the workforce.
Our internship program is open year-round and is designed to help students gain real-world experience, build confidence, and develop foundational skills for future careers in behavioral health and community services.
Interns receive training, supervision, and mentorship while gaining exposure to a variety of services, which may include program support, client engagement, observation of services, documentation exposure, case management activities, and community-based support services.
Through this experience, interns learn how mental health and substance use services are delivered in real-world settings and gain insight into working within community-based agencies.
We also provide exposure to case management and community support services, helping interns understand how professionals coordinate care and support individuals in achieving stability and independence.
By the end of their experience, interns are better prepared to pursue entry-level roles or continued education in mental health, substance use, and community service fields. Our goal is to help build confidence and provide a strong foundation for working in real-life agency environments.
If you are interested in an internship with us, we would be happy to support your journey and help you grow professionally.
