Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)
Breathe Freely’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) provides hope, support, and skill-building services for adults living with severe and persistent mental health conditions. This program is focused on helping individuals build independence, improve daily functioning, and increase stability in their everyday lives.
PRP is an important part of mental health recovery because it focuses on real-life skills that help individuals succeed in the community. The goal is to improve quality of life, strengthen independence, and support each person in their personal recovery journey.
Services are based on each client’s individualized treatment plan and may be provided onsite, offsite, in the community, or in other locations depending on need. This flexibility allows support to take place in real-life environments where skills can be practiced and applied.
Our program includes both individual support sessions and structured group services designed to promote growth, engagement, and independence. Group services may include:
- Parent support groups
- Autism support groups
- Healthy decision-making groups
- Social skills development groups
- Life skills training
- Group outings in the community
- Employment readiness support (job skills, resume building, interview preparation)
Individual support focuses on helping clients work toward personal goals, develop daily living skills, build coping strategies, improve communication, and establish routines that support stability and independence.
Through consistent support and real-world skill building, PRP helps individuals increase confidence, strengthen independence, and become more actively engaged in their communities.
